  • Megan Bernard Webb

Founder & Principal Artist of Artful Abodes

Megan blends soulful design with strategy to help clients prepare their homes for market through thoughtful staging, photography, and real estate services. She brings a background in public administration, grant writing, and storytelling into every space she touches.

Ian keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes—from scheduling and logistics to install-day support. With a background in recruiting and data analysis, he brings calm problem-solving and the occasional coffee run to every project.

Our Values

  • We exist to empower our neighbors to maximize the full potential of their home—whether they’re selling, buying, or investing. We do this through honest consultation, expert communication, and clear next steps.

  • Artful Abodes operates with a community-based economic model that prioritizes local value chains over large-scale commercial retail. We source through peer-to-peer resale ecosystems—including Facebook Marketplace, estate sales, independent vendors, and nonprofit thrift stores (both faith-based and community-operated) throughout Greater Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia—to recirculate capital locally and extend the life cycle of quality goods.

This hyper-localized procurement strategy supports the resilience of neighborhood micro-economies by increasing the velocity of money within the region, minimizing supply chain externalities, and reducing waste through asset recirculation. Our approach transforms staging from a consumptive design process into a regenerative one—where every piece sourced contributes to both economic and aesthetic enrichment in our community.

  • At Artful Abodes, creativity is a multidimensional resource—used not only for aesthetic refinement but for economic and strategic problem-solving. We apply it across disciplines: in staging, to reimagine existing furnishings and materials with minimal environmental and financial cost; in photography, to frame each home with narrative clarity and visual cohesion; and in real estate negotiations, to identify flexible, win-win outcomes that reflect our clients’ goals.

This approach resists the default of overconsumption by privileging resourcefulness over replacement. By engaging creatively with the materials, stories, and structures already at hand, we elevate individual homes while contributing to a broader ethic of reinvestment—culturally, economically, and ecologically. Creativity, in this model, becomes a tool for regeneration—helping homes and communities move forward with beauty, integrity, and intention.
